Biography

Dr. Megan Michalski earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree and Ph.D. from University of Michigan, where her studies focused on the immune system’s role in bone turnover. She has been awarded numerous accolades for her scholarship, including the Russel W. Bunting Periodontal Society Award from University of Michigan School of Dentistry and a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (F30) from the National Institutes of Health. As a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Bart Williams at Van Andel Institute, her work now focuses on the role of canonical and non-canonical Wnt signaling in craniofacial and tooth development.
